Boston Building Trades endorse Mayor Menino with Labor Day announcement

Organization represents thousands of local tradesmen and women
In celebration of Labor Day, Mayor Thomas M. Menino today thanked the thousands of dedicated tradesmen and women affiliated with the Boston Building Trades for their support, as the organization officially endorsed Mayor Menino. The Building and Construction Trades Council of the Metropolitan District, known as the Boston Building Trades, represents dozens of local organizations and thousands of skilled workers in a variety of trades.
“On behalf of the thousands of union tradesmen and women affiliated with the Boston Building Trades, it is my honor and pleasure to offer our endorsement to you, for Mayor of the City of Boston,” said James Coyle, General Agent for the Boston Building Trades, in a letter to Mayor Menino.
“The Boston Building Trades represent the men and women that are helping to move Boston forward every day with the work they do throughout the neighborhoods of our city,” Mayor Menino said. “I’m honored by their support, and I thank them for their commitment to literally building stronger communities. Labor Day is truly a celebration of their hard work.”
